Who is invited: This is a perfect meet for track and field newcomers. The Sport Heaven Invitational is designed for youths 18 years old or under, who have an interest in trying track and field, as well as all our current and past members.
Age Groups: This meet is open to any youth athlete born between 2004 and 2017. Age divisions are determined by year of birth. An athlete born 12/16/2011, for example, will be classified as 11-years old. Groups will be divided by male and female, and then ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-18.
Registration deadline: Athletes/guardians must complete online registration here. Registration fee is $15. Participant payments will only be accepted online. Payment specifics are provided in the event registration link. REGISTRATION IS NOT FINAL UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 7/7/2022, 11:59PM
Check in: All athletes must check in at registration table, located near the track entrance. All athletes must wear their registration bib on the front of their competition shirt.
Event details: Gates open at 8:30am. Spectator fee is $5 (all children spectators under 12 admitted free.) Athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers ONLY admitted onto track and field. All other spectators must stay behind fence and/or sit in bleachers. Refreshments will not be provided.
Implements: Javelins, hammers, and shot puts must be checked-in at the table near the restrooms. All athletes must bring their own implements.
Awards: All events are timed finals. Top six in each event (gender and age group) receive ribbons.
Field Events begin at 10am, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Field events contested: Long Jump (2 hour open pit), Turbo Javelin (1 hour open), Shot Put (1 hour open), Modified Hammer Throw (1 hour open), Triple Jump (2 hour open), High Jump
Track Events begin at 11:00.
Rolling schedule: 1600m Run, 200m Dash, 100m hurdles, 800m Run, 100m Dash, 400m Dash, Mixed 4 x 100m Relay

WHo is COACH ken kash?
Coach Ken Kash is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has been a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise. He is a USA Track & Field Level 2 Certified Coach in
Combined Events, as well as earning numerous Personal Training certifications through various organizations.
Coach Ken is the reigning AAU Shot Put champion, Masters Division. He has published over 255 health and fitness articles for the likes of LiveStrong, Professional Skater Magazine, Track Coach, and many others. He published the book Brave New Workouts in 2009, was interviewed in the book America's Top Trainers Answer Your Fitness and Nutrition Questions in 2012, and wrote the “Strength and Conditioning” chapter for the 2018 book, The Science of Figure Skating.
